Not so wicked fruit company

It’s fair to say that our extensive range offers many shades of wickedness from a short burst of light-cocoa escapism to full-blown chocolate immersion.

One boundary we refuse to cross however is doing anything that causes unnecessary impact to an already fragile environment.

Packaging

Our packaging is stylish yet simple, thereby eliminating the need for the unnecessary packaging clutter so often associated with more traditional chocolate treats. Apart from believing that customers have every right to see exactly what they’re purchasing, we are very proud of our products and see no need to hide them in boxes.

Raw Ingredients

Aside from only using sumptuous, natural ingredients we also try (wherever possible) to source locally, not simply to keep food miles at bay but to show solidarity with other premium local suppliers with a fine food mindset.

We also seek to use our other resources as responsibly via recycling and efficient energy management.

Wicked Alliances

Being wicked isn’t always as easy as one might imagine. For all one’s mischievous endeavours it often doesn’t take much to be talked out of being bad. We’ve been fortunate enough to forge alliances with a number of like-minded partners over the last few years whose fantastic ingredients ensure we dispel any doubts and stay on the straight and narrow path of wickedness.

Maldon Salt

In stark contrast to snails and slugs, the very best thing you can do to chocolate is add salt. It is truly a magical mix of two equally impish ingredients that should probably both be eaten in moderation. We only use local Essex produced salt, championed by seasoning specialists Maldon.

Marybelle

Cream is another key ingredient which we feel it would be unwise to compromise. We insist on working with the family-run Marybelle Dairy based in Halesworth, Suffolk which uses milk from its own 200 head pedigree Holstein herd. The cream is ridiculously rich and makes the most wonderful ganache for all our fresh cream truffles.

The Hop Shop

The Hop Shop sounds like just the place it would be great to have a relaxing rummage around. From humble beginnings when dried hop flowers were very much the flavour of the day, the farm shop set up on the Alexander’s family farm in the Darenth Valley near Sevenoaks in Kent has now extended its expertise to include other dried flowers.

We for our sins use their lavender oil in our Great Taste Award 2007 winning Wicked Lavender Chocs and dried lavender flower heads in our white chocolate bar Wicked Lemon & Lavender Bar.
